Deux vidéos: Thedreamodyssey.I et prequel Ijosé Benin video Installation May 1 - May 29, 2004

The video project dreamodyssey uses multilayered imagse and sounds to explore what lies beneath experiences of the city as a transit phenomenon. By presentation of before and after effects (thedreamodyssey.0 (the prequel) and the projected thedreamodyssey.I respectively), discoveries of the myriad faces of the city in transit are revealed as imagined sites in which undercurrents unveil. the videographer becomes ethnographer, who unlike tthe norm remains unplaceable in terms of specific space and time yet whose double presentation of the city as apparent and submerged/empty and suffocating is at once a (personal) dreamodyssey. ijosé benin Bio Ijosé benin is a Nigerian born artist who currently resides in Toronto.
